Founded in 1992, Hampton Press is an independent scholarly publisher. All books published by Hampton Press are refereed and meet the highest research standards. This is borne out by the number of scholars worldwide who have sought Hampton as their publisher. Currently, Hampton has a backlist of over 400 titles and publishes 35-40 new books annually. Hampton Press publishes textbooks, monographs, professional/reference books and edited collections in the fields of communication, education, literacy, rhetoric and composition, computers and composition, systems theory and creativity/gifted and talented research. Hampton also publishes two journals: Explorations in Media Ecology, the official journal of the Media Ecology Association; and the Journal of Writing Assessment.
